Vice President Jejomar Binay on Thursday sought to disprove allegations of overpricing in the construction of the P2.7-billion Makati City Hall Building II by saying it was only slightly more expensive than the P68,140 per square meter cost of the Iloilo Convention Center. The director of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Western Visayas said Binay's figure was off by several thousands, adding the Iloilo complex's cost per square meter was only around P63,000 or cheaper.
