Solon urges CHED, SUCs to offer ‘quick release grants’ to needy college students

A lawmaker has urged the Commission Higher Education (CHED) and the country’s 112 state universities and colleges (SUCs) to establish a financial aid program that would offer immediate assistance to students in dire need of funds to pay for their costs of living and schooling following the suicide of a college freshman in Tuguegarao City.
