Former Makati exec: Bidding for controversial Makati building rigged

A former Makati City government official on Thursday claimed the bidding for the alleged overpriced construction of Makati City Hall Building II was rigged upon order of then Mayor and now Vice President Jejomar Binay, through the then city engineer. VP Binay and his son, now Mayor Junjun Binay, who was Makati councilor in 2007, along with 21 other Makati City officials, are facing plunder charges before the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with the overpricing.
