Palace submits first P3-trillion budget; over P400B set aside for education

Malacañang formally submitted Tuesday the Aquino administration’s proposed P3.002-trillion budget for 2016, with more than P1 trillion allocated for various social services. The General Appropriations Bill (GAB) for 2016 allocates an amount that is 15.2 percent more than this year's P2.6-trillion expenditure program, representing 19.5 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
